Daily and Festal Icons and Troparia

In this section of the web site, we are offering free downloads of the daily and festal icons with troparia. As you may have read in other parts of the site, our morning prayers included singing the daily troparion, and, if within a festal period, the troparion of the feast. We printed a full color icon as well as the text of the troparion for each day and feast. These we laminated them (to preserve them, for they got a lot of use) and displayed the appropriate one during our Morning Opening. The students eventually knew all these troparia by heart. Since we did not have school on Saturday or Sunday, we do not have icons and troparia for those days.

These downloadable files are in Microsoft Word format, rather than PDF, so that the text of the troparia can be changed to the translation used by your parish. You may have to adjust some of the formatting, but at least you will have more flexibility than with a PDF file. Each icon/troparion set is offered in two sizes, 1) icon and troparion on one 8.5 x 11 page, and 2) a larger version with icon on one 8.5 x 11 page and the troparion on another 8.5 x 11 page.
